"Drawning on her training in ballet and contemporay dance, Anastasia Faiella enacts a performance that both literally and metaphorically traces her movements through time. Utilizing classical stances and improvisational gestures, Faiella choreographs a cycle that alternates between extending oneself to take risks and returning to an innate sense of self. As she moves across a wall, her back to the audience, Faiella leaves a record of her movements in graphite and oil paint.
